What does it mean to be "Enough"
Share
There is a truth from the Garden of Eden story that is very easy to miss. It may appear in plain sight, yet to the casual reader, it is easy to overlook.
When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them everything they needed to do what he commanded: to be fruitful, multiply, and exercise dominion over the earth. While it is true that there is still work to be done and new things to be learned, the truth remains that Adam and Eve were enough. This is why the serpent's deception was so devious; he was essentially suggesting that they were less than enough and that God was holding out on them. Yet, nothing could have been further from the truth.
Today, we live in a world that demands that we somehow prove our worth or qualify ourselves. But our value is not found in what we do. Our value is found in the one who created us.
The truth is that you are enough. You are uniquely designed to fulfill your destiny. You are enough to carry out the roles you have been placed in. Whether you are a child, a parent or a grandparent, a friend or a spouse, an employee or an employer.
You have what it takes.
You are enough.
